Edith Kyle Crawford papers, [ca. 1850-1981].

The collection consists of papers of Edith Kyle Crawford of Columbus, Georgia from ca. 1850-1981. The papers include account books, books, correspondence, clippings, printed material, reports, and photographs including a few daguerreotypes and ambrotypes. The materials document Crawford's involvement in women's clubs and organizations in Columbus, the Presbyterian Church, her activities during World War II, and her interest in politics. Several series are of particular interest. Records pertaining to the Charter Garden Club (Columbus, Ga.) include minutes (1939-1961), constitution and by-laws, histories, newsletters, programs, and scattered correspondence (1946-1962) with other clubs or regarding membership.
